Four moving image works drawn from existing theoretical topologies of subjectivity, adapted to cinematic-sculptural media in an attempt to bring warmth, play, and experience to the diagrammatic. These pieces foreground the relationship between viewer and screen as a contingent encounter, deploying a gaze that is not a one-way look of cold mastery but instead a complicating, two-way reflection, with illusion, misrecognition, and error as guiding principles.

Rhythmically manipulated vocal intros from 1930's and '40's Hollywood nitrate sound recordings provide the skeleton for a chaotic exploration of the visual and haptic side of suggested sound. Speech only ever intended to be technical and descriptive becomes musical, and an iridescent collage of potential gestures teeters between the comically anxious and the bodily horrific.
